From the Freeman's Journal, of May 8, 1782.
[On Capt. Barney's late gallant exploit, 6 lines
introduction, signed] Rusticus.
To the tune of The Tempest; or, Hosier's Ghost.
  Oe'r the waste of waters cruising,
  Long the General Monk had reign'd;
  All subduing, all reducing,
  None her lawless rage restrain'd:
  Many a brave and hearty fellow
  Yielding to this warlike foe
  When her guns began to bellow,
  Struck his humbled colours low.
